“UDAN is a very
good initiative of the Prime Minister of India that proved to be great news for
the citizens of the small towns. Through this scheme, they can fly to their hometowns
at really affordable rates. To promote this scheme, we are also giving
additional discounts to our customers” said Mr. Nishant Pitti, CEO of
EaseMyTrip. “A major part of the people living in metropolitan cities and
tier-2 cities of India are from small towns that used to look for good
connectivity between the cities they are from and where they actually reside. UDAN
flights are the perfect option to serve their requirement. Although air ticket
prices for these flights were already cheap but we have reduced this cost by
giving additional discount from our side to make their travel more affordable”
he added further.
Under the UDAN
scheme, 50% of the seats of the selected airlines had a limit of Rs 2,500 per
seat/hour. The company is giving an additional discount of Rs.500.
