Justice Rajendra Menon Who Supports Justice With Speed

Delhi High Court Chief Justice Rajendra Menon ने शुक्रवार को अपनी फेरवेल पार्टी में न्यायालय में विचाराधीन प्रकरणों को लेकर अपनी चिंता जताई. उन्होनें यह भी कहा की अगर समय पर लोगो को न्याय नहीं मिला तो डेमोक्रेसी बर्बाद हो जाएगीं.

Justice Menon, 62 वर्ष के है और वह 6 जून 2019 को अपने पद से सेवानिवृत्त होंगे. Justice Menon वर्तमान में देहली हाई कोर्ट के चीफ़ जस्टिस है व मध्यप्रदेश व पटना हाईकोर्ट के चीफ जस्टिस रहे है.

में अपना एक किस्सा बताना चाहता हु. में मध्यप्रदेश हाईकोर्ट जबलपुर की रिपोर्टिंग के दौरान Justice Menon की कोर्ट जाता था. मैने देखा था की वो लंच होने के पहलें ही 100 केस पार कर जाते थे. मुझे यह बात समझ नहीं आई तो मै उनकी कोर्ट में सुनवाईं सुनने लगा. काफ़ी सुनवाईं सुनने के बाद मुझे एहसास हुआ की Justice Menon कोर्ट शुरू होने के पहलें ही सारे प्रकरण पड़ कर आते थे. कियोकी कई बार ऐसा हुआ की प्रकरण की जो बात अधिवक्ता को भी नहीं मालूम होती थी वो भी आप अधिवक्ता को बताते थे.

ऐसें न्याय देनेवाले इंसान की कमी न्याय जगत को हमेशा मेहसूस होती रहेगी.

Justice Menon ने समाहरो में कहा की "The institution is known by the persons who man it. Judicial institute survives as its reputation is dependent on the assistance given by the members of the bar and the capabilities and abilities of the judge. Both the members of the bar and the bench owe a responsibility towards the citizens of this country and each one of us is bound by the mandate of the Constitution to dispense justice to the last man in the queue," he said. Justice Menon further said: "The huge pendency of cases in the courts and the long delay in disposal of cases have been scourging the country for last few decades. Its time now for each one of us to ponder upon various issues connected with the outburst of docket and device ways and means to tackle it.

"Until and unless we are able to deliver timely justice to the citizens, the faith in the system may erode and if such a thing happens, it would be a disaster for the democratic system of this country." Justice Menon said he was deeply touched and overwhelmed by the kind words expressed by his colleagues, advocates and staff.
